Droplet diameter

Hi everybody!

I'am working on the spread of a fire in a close room. This fire begin by a spray. After some researches, I find that the main parameter of the spread of the spray is the initial droplet diameter. So, I'm seaching a way to calculate it and I don't find something relevant.
So I'm asking if you have some leads that could allows me to determinate it?

Thank you

Maxime

Look for work in the 70's and 80's by P. J. O'Rourke at Los Alamos and Princeton.

Also, The KIVA series of CFD codes for IC Engine simulation - including spray fuel injection - has models for the injector spray. I think the University of Wisconsin maintains these codes now.

Good luck!

Thanks for replying my post! :)

I checked your lead, and I think I should find something. The main problem is to determinate tne initial diameter but I found a document explaining that... more or less.

If someone has the same problem!
If you have other leads do not hesite to tell me! :D

Thank you again
