Hi there,
I have learned C.F.D (theory) during my graduate and Masters programs, but never tried to write a single simple code.. I really want to do some good research on flapping, unsteady flight.. I'm not good with programming, but am totally willing to start from scratch.. presently I'm an academic.. I appreciate your suggestions.. Thank you..

Regards
Bogadi

Dear Roshan,
First you should define you goal.
If you are trying to simulate flapping/unsteady flight then you should do a proper literature survey and then use the commercial CFD softwares.
If you want to learn CFD and then write CFD codes for flapping/unsteady flight then it is a very long and difficult goal.

If you want I can connect you with some one who has worked in area of flapping/unsteady flight.

Thanks..

Mr. Raashid,

I appreciate your reply..
Why I was stressing about coding is, I actually want to turn this work as a PhD later..Do you think only commercial software will do the job for me..! I'm collecting and going through the available literature.. and yes I would like to discuss my interests with anyone working in the area of unsteady flapping flight..

Thanks & Regards
Roshan

No no I never meant that commercial softwares are good or will be able to do this job. A friend of mine has worked in this area during his masters and all I am syaing is based on his experience. If you want he will be able to give some more information in this aera.
