I just noticed that CFD-Wiki contained a definition of the turbulence length scale that is most often not used. It is the version used by Fluent. But, for example, Wilcox's books and most other CFD codes use a different length-scale. I have updated the two affected pages to reflect this:

Turbulence experts, do you agree with this interpretation? Defining turbulence boundary conditions is always a mess. For example, I think that ANSYS' two codes, CFX and Fluent, use a different definition of the turbulent length scale. The difference is a factor of 2: L one version = L other version * C_mu ^ 1/4 = L other version * 0.548
