Gambit 2.4.6 - car meshing

Hi everyone,

I'm using Gambit 2.4.6 to mesh a car geometry. Using the geometry commands, I divided the single volume into three volumes, to use different element sizes for each one. When I try to mesh the first volume, the program stops and shows the message "running out of memory".

My machine has 4GB RAM, and use a core i5 processor. I think that hardware is not the main problem.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks in advance

I am new in CFD, but I suggest you to mesh that whole single volume to make sure if your hardware is okay! If it is well to be meshed, you may provide specific images about your works.

Thanks, luther1990, I'm trying to mesh the volume on different machine now, but I'll try to do this.

Thanks

how many cells have you got in each of the volumes?, I think Gamble has a limit , or certainly it starts moaning if it gets large, try further subdividing your domain to lower the cell count per volume.
