Hi All,

I appreciate your suggestions/hints on my flowing problem:

I am solving multiphase flow using my in-house code. In the cases considered, some cells may have big body forces. Some of their immediate cells present odd velocities which are significantly larger than others. The fluent manual clearly suggests that RESTO interpolation scheme for pressure could help solve the problem. I tried my best to find some documents on PESTO but get nothing. What is the principle underlying PESTO? Are there publications which detail the method?

Regards,

Harry

PRESTO (PREssure STaggering Option) staggers the grid assuming like new cell-centers the face centers of the original grid. It computes the velocity components in the centers of the faces whose unit vector is parallel to the component you're considering. The assumed grid is now "staggered". I hope this picture will help you to understand.
