Suggest a path with me successfully simulating a turbulent boundary layer as an end goal.

Consider I have done only my undergrad. What books, journal papers should I read so that I will have a strong foundation.

Do not include coding and numerical aspects. I already have a functional solver.

The reason for me asking this question is that I don't feel confident with my knowledge. I developed a code, and now I have to simulate a turbulent boundary layer. I didn't take the steps in between, so when i read papers, there are lot of confusions. I don't quite understand the meaning and significance of most of the terms used in papers. I think, I have started directly with high level/recent papers without knowing the things the authors of these papers assume the reader to know.

To tell the truth, I doubt that you can be able in performing this type of simulation without a strong background in turbulence and CFD...furthermore, you will need a huge computational resourse...
