Hi everybody,

I am parallelizing a portion of a code which works fine in a serial mode. When launching the run after parallel compiling I get a stack overflow error message.

I tried to fix that problem by increasing the stacksize for the threads (KMP_STACKSIZE=120m) but it had no effect.

Has anybody already encountered this issue?

I have strange results with this compiler. Not only for parallelization.

Is a piece of shit, still in developmental phase. Switch compiler.

Which version of the compiler are you using? I've used this compiler for a few years now (I'm using 8.1 under linux) and all the problems I've had recently (some relating to different answers when I change compilers) have been due to programming errors on my part. Have you tried compiling with the "-check all -trace" ?

The fix for openmp in the release notes worked for a test I did on a dual processor Xeon machine (ifc version 7.1 with RedHat v9 - Suse linux >9 with ifc v8.1 appears to not need the fix).

I took a look again in the documentation and I realized I was persuaded that check was the default option. That is not the case. Even with the check option, no errors are found in the program...

I am going to find another solution
