Hello Haider,

if it is stationary problem, i think you don't need CFD for this. With some simplifications you can calculate it analytical. It is just a heat conduction problem with two boundary conditions. Just look in a book about heat transfer and you will find your answer how to calculate that.

Best regards

dear alex,
thx 4 your mighty help. i have calculated it analytically but i want to check it by ansys the it gives the same surface temperature as i calculated??? it is stationary

I didn't know, that you have already calculate that. You should write your question in more detail. It wasn't possible, to give you an appropriate answer to your question.

But what is exactly your problem? Don't you know how to start or have you problems with your boundary conditions or what is it? Please give us more information.

Regards,

Alex

my problem is that an insulation having inner temperature 1200 C and ambient condition is acting means it is located in room i want to get surface temperature of insulation by ansys software i dont want to analytically calculate it understand it is crystal clear... use ansys software for calculation of surface temperature

It depends on your outer surface BC. Is it the prescribed ambient temperature? Convection to the ambient temperature? Radiation to the ambient temperature? A combination of the above? Once you define it, you may implement the corresponding BC in ANSYS (or other code).
