Default Pressure BC in SIMPLE

Hi

I am trying to discretize SIMPLE on a staggered grid. It is okay to handle a constant velocity BC since the velocity values at wall are known and that just leads to a zero veloctiy correction at the entrance boundary points. I was wondering what to do with the constant pressure BC. The pressure correction at wall is zero, but we cant place them explicitly in the equation since we are not solving for pressure at wall but only at interior points.

Thanks in advance for your responses. Ankan

the boundary condition for the presssure correction equation is the insulation boundary condition . but when you only know the value of the pressur at the boundary ,the value of velocity is unknow.you should use a speciall procedure to convert the pressure to the velocity .you can find it on the <<numerical heat transfer>> thank you

Hi Thanks for your response. Looks like you put in some link for further clarification but it does not seem to be working. I will appreciate if you could post the reference once again.

The pressure correction at the pressure boundary is zero, then you should update the boundary velocity components (or mass flux) using the pressure correction at the boundary and that near the boundary explicitly at each iteration to satisfy the continuity equation. The velocity correction equations for the boundary velocities can be derived as the same way as those in the interior region.
