PIPE JUNCTION

hello I have a pipe and it is seperated into two at a joint(something like y-pipe).I am using SIMPLE scheme and trying to calculate the Turbulent kinetic energy.I am using standard k-epsilon model. My boundary conditions are mass inlet at inlet ans prescreibed pressures at outlets. My wall is adibiatic. I have observed the pressure residual initially increased to 1.5e+02 (250 iterations) and then stated decreasing very slowly to 1.2e+01 (900 iterattions aprox)and is still continuing.I am intersed in steady state solution. I want to increase the convergence criteria.I have been playing with underrelaxation factors. Any suggestions for improving convergence rate and also some comments on initial increase of pressure residual inspite of other residuals decrease. thanks..kamesh

Re: PIPE JUNCTION

In my opinion you could look at the grid you have especially at the junctions. Good luck
