Dear all,
I keep getting the error message given above. I know it's because some argument of exp becomes too large and the result is Infinity (or another problem with the result being NaN). I do not know how to debug this problem because the simulation I'm running is relatively long and I cannot just check every line where the exp function is called. What could I do for debugging? I already switched on the traceback function in the Run time category. But I do not know how to get the line number and to stop at the position where the error occurs. Thanks for any help!! |

If you work with MS Visual Studio then you should set Float Point Exception Handling (FPE) option to 0 in your project. Project->Settings...->Fortran then in combobox "category" choose Floating Foint and set Float Point Exception Handling to zero.
By default this option is 3. This means that all floation point exceptions (divide by 0 and others) are ignored and results are replaced by NaNs. Or just set /fpe:0 option in you compile line. If this option is 0 then you program will stop with corresponding messages when FPE happens. Alexey |
