does anyone know who is the author of the leapfrog method? is it a man named leapfrog, or the method is leafrog due to its scheme?

Yeah, we call it leapfrog method because of its computational molecule structure.

I don't know who came up with the scheme. It's called leapfrog because of the shape of the computational stencil.
