Numerical Dissipation of Upwind in LES

Hi all,

I know upwind schemes cause numerical dissipation if advective form is used. But I don't see any numerical dissipation if divergence form is used instead. For example, in 2nd order upwind there is no 2nd derivative to be added to SGS viscosity.

What you think?

Regards

Dear Orxan,
what method are you talking about? FD?

I am using Finite Volume. To write them in a conservative form I use divergence form of convective term.
