Motion analysis of Pig inside pipeline
Dear CFD users,
I want to simulate the dynamic motion of pigs inside oil pipeline. The problem is I don't know weather I can do it in CFD.I have experience in working with fluent in various flow, thermal and multiphase problems for nearly two years. The requirement in this particular case is to find how much pressure will be required to drive a pig inside a particular pipe junction. The pig must be driven by fluid(not by any definition of velocity to the pig itself) as that is what I needed. Is there any tutorial or case study where a solid is driven by fluid pressure? I want to know is this possible in FLUENT or any other CFD software. If so,what is the approach I have to follow? Thanks in advance. |
