Default Laminar to Turbulent Transition

Dear my colleges :

I work on the laminar mixed convection in the entrance region of semicircular duct .At high Grashof numbers and certain orientation of the duct the variation of Nu with axial distance characterized by extreme fluctuations and the flow Bifurcate to multi cell system from two cell system .My equation is that if I am in the transition region or I am in the turbulent region? .If some one can help me and or send so articles related to the topic I will be very helpful
