stein.robins is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I am trying to replace a porous geometry (a cuboid with almost 500 holes) with equivalent porous parameters (viscous/inertial coeff.). I simulated the actual geometry and determined the 1st and 2nd order coefficients from del.p vs velocity curve. The del.p used here is the pressure difference across the porous geometry and not the actual inlet -outlet). Now I am trying to replace this geometry by a cuboid (without holes) with the calculated porous parameters. But when I try with a known pressure at the inlet, I am unable to obtain the del.p across the porous zone as I have obtained from the simulation using actual geometry. Has anyone came across similar problem ? Thanks
