# SIMPLE algorithm, convergence criteria

 November 29, 2011, 15:06 SIMPLE algorithm, convergence criteria #1 New Member   Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 13 Rep Power: 10 hello, i study natural convection in eclosure. i have writtten my own computer program. for pressure correction equation, continuity equation is convergence criteria. is there a need convergence criteria for momentum equations (u,and v velocity). is continuity equation sufficent for flow-field thanks sorry my bad english

 December 2, 2011, 18:16 #3 New Member   Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 13 Rep Power: 10 in that book patankar mentions only contunity equation as a convergence criteria. but for example in fluent when you select SIMPLE algorithm, 3 convergence criteria appeared which are u-momentum, v-momentum and pressure. so i am confused
