Hi,

I want to solve the 3D Laplace equation in cylindrical coordinates with a fast finite difference technique. Which one should I use if I want to solve it with Matlab (SOR, conjugate gradient, etc)?

I tried this with a simple loop but the calculation time is so big....

Examples in 3D are very welcome!!

Thx

Hola Hermano (and please do not reply in Spanish, as I exhausted all my vocabulary in the first word...),
I suggest using the most basic (geometric) multigrid method being the fastest. Using the simplest options for the available multigrid variants (e.g., V-cycle) will suffice.
Best luck,
Rami
