I believe that I figured out my problem. It turned out I was applying the boundary condition properly, but I had modified the code with a scaling constant to account for rectangular domains which was not properly adjusted for half of the domain.

good for you. You should let everyone know what keyed you in on that error, so if anyone else is having trouble this might be their answer.

Now, convert it to the stream-function/vorticity method and enjoy the easy coding

Pretty much i went back to the basics. I had checked my code over and over again while also talking to others and I couldn't find an issue with my boundary conditions. I ran the original seibold code with minimal mods and it shows that my modified code showed similar characteristics to domains with half the aspect ratio.

So lesson learned is go back to simple, verified code and step by step modify it until you find the error. Downside, it takes time
