Cavity Flow data

could someone email me data for a cavity flow with a moving top. Re=400. Dx=Dy=128 for 100 interations. Nu=.01 As I have mentioned before, I am doing this in MathCAD and comparing my answers/contours to Ghia's paper. But, I can't seem to get my velocity to propagate down from the moving lid. I get the swirl, but even after 7500 iterations it is still closer to the top than centered as Ghia's. So, I would like to compare my data to someone's that works in hopes that I can trace down my error. This is for steady-state.
an excel file with Ux, Vy, Vorticiy, and Streamfunction values after 100 interations would be great. If Dx and Dy need to be a different size, just tell me so I can change my program. thanks |

i'm little confused. if it's a straight lid driven cavity problem for isothermal flow what is the use of Nu? what is dx=dy=128? do you mean no of cells/grids in x and y directions, that is nx=ny=128.normally with Re=400, not much problem is observed with nx=ny=125 or so. however you may like to go for some refinement at the top (lid side) to arrest the diffusion.

sorry about the confusion - nu is the greek symbol - viscosity. And dx and dy are the nx and ny. I am going by two references and seem to get decent velocity profiles and streamline profiles, but my vorticity profiles do not look good.
