a 5 blades pump model, structrued mesh in icem with one blade. now i wanna get the whole(total) geometry mesh to output, what to do? thank you very much! best reguards!

Do you mean the whole geometry only to vizualize or to use in a simulation? I'm asking for it because most of pos-processors have some kind of rotational extrusion or mirror to produce a complete view of your geometry. If you're trying to build, really, the whole mesh I think it can be a bit harder... there are some pre-processing tools able to extrude mesh entities in order to expand the mesh. I'm not used with ICEM but I think it's possible... go to "Edit mesh" toolbar and try the "Transform mesh" button. It'll open the mesh transformation dialog where you may try to rotate (and copy) your mesh. (I'm based on ICEM CFD 5.0 release of May 21 2004)

thanks! i mean the whole geometry grids to use in a simulation. i have done as you said.but new question appears: the periodic faces are multipled.... can you give me some advice on it? best reguards!

in the "Edit mesh" toolbar go to "Repair mesh" button and try to perform the "merge mesh" operation.

I think it'll work...

sigh.... i still can't finish the task... multiple edges and non-mainfold vertices both appeared.....

icem has the function to view whole mesh, while it doesnt have the function to save the whole mesh. i can view the whole mesh, but i can't save it .....

Yes - when you copy the mesh - everything copies. Turn on only the parts/families for the periodic boundaries. Turn on "Nodes as Numbers" for the Mesh so you can see if the nodes have been duplicated at the copy boundaries - or if they have been merged at the copy boundaries. If they are not merged - you'll see overlayed node numbers that you can't read clearly.

If they have not been merged - you'll need to use Edit Mesh > Merge Nodes > Merge Selected with a Tolerance - then apply a small number (smaller than any actual node distance) and select all the nodes of the periodic copies.

If they have been merged - then you simply need to delete the surface elements between the copies - with Edit Mesh > Delete Elements.
