flux splitting -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

HaKu Senior Member Hassan Join Date: Apr 2009 Posts: 106 Rep Power: 17	just a very simple question. 1. Why do we need to split the flux into positive and negative parts. Whts the significance of splitting when discretizing? 2. how the LF flux splitting insures the upwinding and how upwinding helps in the stability ?
