Gas flow in micro pores

Hi all,

I have just started an investigation into gas flow in micro pores of diameter 50 microns with a L/D ratio = 250 approx. I'm looking for any sources of information or anybody who has experience in the field. Has anyone here tried such an investigation before.

Can anybody help me out?

Thanx

Mark

Sounds like a problem dominated by diffusion. I would imagine that setting a pressure gradient across the model should get something moving. Be interesting to see how you model the pore interconnectivity.

For an overal look at porous problems, you may want to look at Bejan's work on porous media, then work some of it into porous-modelling models in some of the better-known software packages.

I guess it depends what kinds of information you are hoping to derive from your model as to exactly how you appraoch things.
