Hi, I need to use unstructured mesh in a portion of the Leading Edge of a compressor blade cascade. I used a free block, imposing only tetra inside. The problem is that close to the leading edge, the elements grow up, without keeping the height of the structured mesh (calculated to meet the y+ requirement).
Ho can I do to have a similar distribution to the structured mesh? I enclose 2 snaps of the area. |

Is it possible in ICEM to use inflation layers in unstructured meshes, too? If so, you should use inflation layers with the same number of cells and the same clustering as in the blocks with the structured mesh. Then you fulfill the y+ requirements in the structured and unstructured blocks and resolve the boundary layer flow with the same accuracy.
