hi, i'm a newbie in salome and openFoam. I faced the problem in seperating the meshed faces into groups, so that i can set different boundary coundition to each group. I created the sub group in geometry part, but after meshing, it ignored my sub group and put all faces in a group. I converted the UNV file to foam file, then open the face file and boundary file and found out it really put all faces in a group.
Attached is the boundary in openFoam after conversion. I will be vry grateful for helps and suggestions. Thanks. /*--------------------------------*- C++ -*----------------------------------*\ | ========= | | | \\ / F ield | OpenFOAM: The Open Source CFD Toolbox | | \\ / O peration | Version: v1706 | | \\ / A nd | Web: www.OpenFOAM.com | | \\/ M anipulation | | \*---------------------------------------------------------------------------*/ FoamFile { version 2.0; format ascii; class polyBoundaryMesh; location "constant/polyMesh"; object boundary; } // * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * // 1 ( defaultFaces { type patch; nFaces 6328; startFace 95044; } ) // ************************************************** *********************** // Last edited by jiahui_93; January 1, 2018 at 23:38.
