posting on SALOME forum?

Has anybody any idea about how to get a login for posting on https://www.salome-platform.org/forum? There are a couple of bugs I would like to report, etc. etc.

I can't understand how to sign up. The contacts page of the Salome site points to the Support page, which points to Opencascade site. There I could sign up for the opencascade fora, which don't seem to have much to do with Salome. OTOH the Salome forum includes recent posts from apparently random users, so access shouldn't be that restricted.

I can't find out how to register either. I have filled in the form on the opencascade website as this seemed like the best point of contact, to ask whether it is open to all or you need to be on a paid support contract.

Otherwise this forum could do with a Salome sub forum.

Ok so click the "contact us" link at the top of the salome website, and click the "contact us via this form" link, fill in the form to request a forum log in. they responded pretty quickly.

Thanks, I think I've done that too at that time, but never received a reply. OTOH, I think I have seen recent spam on the salome fora, so it mustn't be that difficult to get in. Will see if I'm in the mood to send them another message.

Hi Enrico, I had faced a similar problem with the Salome forum. On the spot, we decided to create a Salome CAE on FB with some other people. Maybe it's useful for you to get some first aid help there.

Thanks, but 'm not on FB by principle. Besides, it was about posting about their bugs (such as, you dump a mesh with some filter definitions, and some other filter conditions get written in the .py instead, or crashes in specific conditions), which could have helped the developers, not self-help...
