I'm curious as to what path people typically take for geometry/mesh generation when writing their own cfd codes. If it is a relatively simple geometry, is it commonplace to write your own code to do this? Or is more common to do so in a commercial software and bring it in from that? Either way, are there any recommended references on the topic aside from the wiki on this site?
