Hi folks,
since I don't get an account on the salome platform so far I reach out to this forum. I want to mesh a random packed bed of spheres, especially the void fraction between the spheres. Everything wents fine for the NETGEN-1D-2D but for the NETGEN-3D I always get this error attached. I played around with different max. and min. sizes for the mesh (for NETGEN 1D-2D as well as for NETGEN-3D) and also the fineness (growth rate). No solution. The "weird" thing is: if I have a smaller section of the bed it works. So somewhere is a region which is not working. But the error message does not tell me where exactly it is since the domain is one big volume (This volume is properly generated within salome without any error via Cutting-tool). Is there a way to see where exactly the error is? The dump of the study does not give me any hint as well. Does anyone have suggestions for other meshing methods? Thank you in advance! |

Maybe "Adaptive" might help.Incase of complex geomtries( not really big or complex but one with curves drawn through equation or special tools) I got satisfactory results with that.
