Hello everybody,
I work every day on CFD projects with all aspects belonging to this topic. As you all know preprocessing, aspecialy the mesh generation, is a big part of a project. The available commercial tools are great but sometimes little details of functions are missing. (the meshing tools I use are ANSA, FLUENT MESHING, SPACE CLAIM and PATRAN. As I also have some coding experience eg. I was able to write my own FEM code during my study so I can approximately estimate the effort even if it will take some time. There are some Ideas I would like to realise. So the question to the audience is: what is a good starting point to get into the topic of programming a mesh generator, especially a WRAPPER? What I think about are books or papers one has to read, or university lessons. Thanks in advance for your posts. Regards Johann |
