Hi all,
I have done an O-grid hexahedral Meshing in ANSYS ICEM and converted it into unstructured mesh to solve in Fluent.
There is a problem with the continuity residuals so I guess I need to refine my mesh. The problem is that I do not know how I can edit a mesh that has been converted to unstructured mesh since there is no blocking so you can edit the mesh params and bunching, etc.
I appreciate if someone here can share his experience and possible solution.
I have attached a schematic of the mesh and another screenshot.
Thanks

Do you not save the project file? Normally this contains the blocking, bunching etc. If you only saved the unstructured mesh, I am afraid there is no way to regain the blocking from that.

Hi AtoHM, thanks for your response.
Yes, I have saved the .uns .prj and .tin file. But now I want to change the mesh and refine it from the blocking stage, I don't want to use workbench since it contains the last mesh that was converted to uns. How can I modify the mesh and take a new output that has been converted to a new .uns file. I mean even if I change the sizing of the mesh in blocking, the new mesh (converted from pre-mesh) will be saved in the previous .uns file.
I wonder if you someone can assist me or correct me if I have misunderstood some parts
Regards

Hi, I don't know if this have been resolved yet.
I tried to make the blocking again with ICEM from the unstructured mesh. The blocking generated are quite accurate, although the association is a mess from that. After the blocking are "remade", resetting association is a must and hopefully you don't need to make blocking from scratch.
