How can I Compile OpenCASCADE to GMSH?

Hello everybody,

I am trying to import a .step file into gmsh, that I created using SolidWorks. Every time I try I get this error: "Error : Gmsh requires OpenCASCADE to import shape"

I couldn't find a way to install or compile OpenCascade to gmsh.

Is there anyone who can help with that?

Thank you.

Solution

Hello again everybody,

After following the steps in the Cascade's website for dependencies : https://dev.opencascade.org/doc/occt...rty_linux.html ,
I followed the GMSH's website for compilation with Cascade. I only used it for Cascade because I run into some errors while building gmsh from the source. https://gitlab.onelab.info/gmsh/gmsh...sh-compilation

After completing the Cascade compilation, I downloaded GMSH from the website instead of building it from the source. It works for now.
