Meshing of rectangular bubble column

hi,

I am trying to mesh a rectangular 3D bubble column. With the aim to make a close to uniform hex mesh. Currently I make my geometry in DesignModeller and use Ansys meshing for mesh generation.

However, I am running into problems due to the inlet, as it is only a small 2D rectangular portion of the bottom of the column. What I have tried so far to include the inlet distorts the mesh quite a lot.

Do you have any suggestions on how to include the inlet to make a high-quality hex mesh? Or maybe I should try a different type of meshing?

I also have access to ICEM and SpaceClaim if that helps.

EDIT:
Making the mesh using the blocking method in ICEM seemed to do the trick
