Automotive meshing best option??

Hello,

I would like to know the opinion of the people here, regarding the best software for meshing pretty dirty geometries.

I am trying to mesh a full car for external aerodynamics (no engine or interior of the car included), but the geometry is really a mess: a pretty dirty STL full of holes everywhere and with duplicated parts.

I have spent many many hours working with Fluent Mesher, fixing holes and trying to wrap the whole thing. It is kind of working, but I cannot believe this is the correct way to go. I consider myself a rather advanced user of Fluent Mesher, but for sure must exist many hidden menus I don't know about.

I am pretty sure that in the automotive industry don't need two weeks to get a nice mesh of such geometries. So, my question is, what software is commonly used in such cases? What is the industry standard? and what would the procedure be?

Any tip will be appreciated.

Thank you very much!

Regards.
