Hi,
I'm modelling some cylinders that are connected at angles to each other in GMSH. I import my .STEP file of the geometry and run some mesh algorithms and some custom meshing along edges to have some control in certain areas for refinements. My problem: I need a panel mesh using quad elements that are all planar. This seems tricky to do, especially in areas where the cylinders are joined (two curved surfaces meeting each other). I can achieve some planar elements away from any of the joints but not elsewhere. Has anyone any recommendations or tips to achieve full planar elements across the board, while retaining some local features (like mesh control in some faces for quads as well). I can't seem to find any setting or algorithm that enforces planar elements everywhere. Any help much appreciated, thanks! D |
