Hi Everyone, I was working with autogrid 4 to generate my block mesh for an axial turbine, so what I'm doing is varying the tip geometry with a squaler; then i built some other blocks by hand to have a non-flat tip geometry.
When i run the non matching connection it ends at 100% so I understand that the faces involved are connected.
when i import the mesh to fine and tried to run the simulation the solver cracks, and did't give any other try that just close the programm. I run the same mesh without any non matching connection and works.
Does everyone knows if the problem is with my non matching boundary? or how can I solve this problem?

thanks in advance.
I attach an image with the connection that Im trying do to actually (Im trying to connect the blue face with the yellow one that is the top of all small blocks I created under that blue face)

Fine turbo sometimes has problems when number of full non-matching boundaries increases. I have had similar problem before.
As you mentioned, the solution is to keep the full non-matching boundaries as low as possible.

In principle the number of full non-matching connections should not be a reason for an immediate crash of the software. FINE/Turbo has been run with complex cases with many full non-matching connections in complex configurations successfully.

However, Autogrid4 is really extremely old though. Which version of FINE/Turbo is used when experiencing these problems? It would certainly be recommended to use AutoGrid5 instead.

I'm using FINE 8.7 and on this way I did a mesh with autogrid 5 using the automatic mesh option on this way it kept some BC as NMB when I tried to use this mesh in FINE 8.7 it stopped the simulation with a message that says: NMB in rotating not supported use FNMB. So do you know why FINE doesn't support the NMB? Do I need to save the mesh with an specific format I mean export the grid for FINE 8.7? Thanks!!

you had better to adjust your mesh settings such that no NMB is left.
one solution is that you only set the number of meshes and let the Fine Turbo automacally find a proper distribution matching to mesh numbers you have entered. in other words try to minimize your interference in details of the mesh. this, in most of the cases, will solve your problem.

regards
