Hi all,

i implemented an impeller with a blunt trailing edge and canīt find an option to capture the edge on a better way than the picture will show you. Do someone have an idea what option for example in, for example in B2B Mesh Topology Control, i can change for a better result?
Thanks for the answers.

Dear Daniel,

AutoGrid5 does not recognize the trailing edge as blunt, as the geometry definition is closed at the trailing edge. Try with a new blade definition just containing pressure and suction side but no geometry definition at the trailing edge. This should do the job.

Thanks for the answer.
But the Problem is that i only have a blunt trailing edge and no blunt leading edge. So choosing preasure and suction side does not work =(

Dear Daniel,

That should not be any problem:
the surfaces defining the pressure and suction side can be closed at the leading edge while open at the trailing edge. AutoGrid5 should automatically detect that the leading edge is closed so no blunt topology will be applied. But at the trailing edge it should be open.

Hey,

could you maybe explain how you solved the problem? I am trying the same with a blunt leading edge, but the way with choosing pressure/suction side doesnt work. then there is no stagnation point.
