Hello everyone!

Can anyone suggest me how to create roughness on the hull so that I can use it for running simulation in Numeca?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

You can set the sand grain height for solid patchs when defining the boundary conditions. You can either specify a single value for all patches or per-patch. One example where you could define it per patch: Calculation of light running marging of an aged hull and propeller (or presence of fouling). You could add different wall roughness on hull and propeller patches.
