Hi everybody,
this is my fist post in this forum, I have a problem with Numeca software.
I have an aerodynamic profile in a simple domain, I have make the mesh ad start the solution with Fine Open. In the monitor compre the Lift and Drag force, my question is:

can I see directly the value of the aerodynamic coefficients Cl and Cd? If so where?
Tnk

Andrea

Dear Andrea,

yes, it is given out by one of the standard files of the computation. Please have a look into the computation directory, at the bottom of the .wall file the computed lift and drag coefficient with its reference values is given out. You can easily access this file with any text editor.

Please make sure that you have set in the FINE/Open GUI -> Computation Control -> Outputs to "External Flow".

Kind regards
Holger

Did you activate the "compute force and torque" for the applicable solid patches in the solid boundary conditions page?
