When I use SA (spalart allmaras) to simulate a SCO2 compressor, the turbulent viscosity value need to be defined as the inlet boundary condition. So how to determine an appropriate value of the turbulent viscosity to ensure the accuracy of the calculated results?
Thank you very much!

Hi;
There are general guidelines to set turbulence levels at the inlet of different turbomachineries based on experiences. In case of a compressor turbulent intensity is not high and I think default values will ok.

regards

In the user guide there is a detailed advice for internal and external flow cases.

I see the turbulent viscosity for internal case is eatimated as vT/v=1 to 5. So I take the value is 1 to 5 times of the viscosity of working medium at the inlet condition.Thank you!
