I have a computation domain which consist of blade, hub and shroud in the cascade, now I want to set the hub and shroud as moving wall which I can ignore the impact induced by the stationary wall. I find that there is translational velocity in the SOLID panel, but only give them a constant velocity in three direction. Is there any good solution for my problem?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH. |

Hi;
Are you going to keep the blade stationary while the endwalls are moving? what is it good for? What is the problem with constant velocity? Does your wall has variable speed? Please give more detailed information about your case. If your problem is an annular cascade you can easily model it with torational speed. Regards |

At first, the span of the blade in the cascade is 100mm and the corner separation doesn't have impact on the mid-span which is my main reasearch area. However, there is too many points in the mesh, so I want to decrease the points by cutting the span to 20mm height. But this will take another question, the corner separation will severely affect the mid-span, so I want to apply the free slip condition on the endwalls while the blade keeps stationary to eliminate corner separation. The setting in NUMECA SOLID BOUNDARY is constant velocity but the velocity of flow near endwalls is not constant. So is there free slip condition like CFX in FINE? Thank you very much. |

You can select these walls to be an Euler wall in the Solid boundary condition tab.
