fieldAverage giving negative variances in OpenFOAM9

Hi everyone!

I was doing some comparison between results from OF2.4.0 and OF9 and I noticed that in OF9 the function fieldAverage gives negative values of the variances, e.g. TPrime2Mean.

Have someone noticed the same issue?

I attach an example with the tutorial smallPoolFire3D.

Hello,
I know the reply is late, but it may help someone in future.

I also faced this issue recently. The reason is that there was a bug and this was resolved already on Git.
Check the report: https://bugs.openfoam.org/view.php?id=3776
Resolved on Git: https://github.com/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM...10f36e0e08a996

However, for people who simply download the compiled OpenFOAM (pack) from the website this bug fix is not incorporated. This is because it is still not updated there.

The solution is to clone the latest version from Git(https://github.com/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-9) and you have to compile the code from source (https://openfoam.org/download/source/)
