With the help of Bernhard, we tracked down a bug in GeometricScalarField.C in relation to the pow function. Line 157 reads:

dimensionedScalar("1", 1.0, gsf2.dimensions())

but should read

dimensionedScalar("1", gsf2.dimensions(), 1.0)

The same comments apply to lines 186 and 217.

Thank you very much for the bug report. This error is a legacy from when I changed the order of the constructor arguments to make dimensionedType more consistent with the rest of the code. I will push the corrected version to 1.5.x shortly.

Hi I am having trouble with the pow function with volScalarField as an argument. Would this be a related problem?
