newMovingWallVelocity boundary condition in in FSI simulation

Dear Foamers

As far as I know, the newMovingWallVelocity boundary condition has been developed in the solids4foam toolkit. I began to simulate a simple test case for the fluid region by solids4foam; therefore I set the physics to the fluid. I considered different test cases to examine the effect of using the newMovingWallVelocity boundary condition. I found that when the newMovingWallVelocity was used for a stationary wall, some minor differences (fluctuations) in velocity were observed in the comparison of using noSlip or fixedValue boundary condition. It should be noted that these minor differences have significant effects on other variables and the fluid solution.

To sum up, fixedValue or noSlip boundary conditions resulted in more logical and accurate numerical simulations.

I am aware that this boundary condition is essential for FSI simulation, however, I am eager to know that can the newMovingWallVelocity only be used in the FSI interface?
Or can it also be employed in a single region (fluid) simulation?

Best Regards,
Peyman
