Hi Bernhard,

Thanks for your kind help. With steps a) and b), the problem persists.

The OF2.2.2 was compiled by myself. There were some errors popped-out during installation, which never influences my daily use, but may cause the error to swak4Foam. I will try to re-install OF. Thank you.

"Illegal instruction" seems to be the SIGILL-signal (see for instance http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...al-instruction). That seems to be a problem with your binaries (I never encountered the problem myself). Is it possible that you compiled the binaries on one machine and executed on another? One possible explanation is that the compilation machine used instructions that are not available on the execution machine. But I can only speculate here and due to the nature of the problem see no way to reproduce your problem

Hi Bernhard,

Sorry for the late reply, but yes, we finally figured out the error is due to that there are login node (one machine) and job node (another machine) on the supercomputer, exactly as your anticipated. Thanks for this.
