Attached is "cavityG.tar.gz", which has packaged a modified version of the tutorial "incompressible/icoFoam/cavity" that uses groovyBC to define the flow speed at the "movingWall" boundary.
Try running it by using these commands:

tar -xf cavityG.tar.gz
cd cavityG
blockMesh
icoFoam
paraFoam

And don't forget to go to the last time snapshot and rescale the values.

If this also doesn't work, then something is incorrectly installed.

This problem was tied to the use of shallowWaterFoam. Using time dependant boundary condition was impossible, this will be corrected in the next version taking into account boundary conditions for hU and h instead of U and h (see commit 7077338993a18fdd3bbf8488b172aab15e4d6443 )

Did not really solved, but made a artificial pipe, where the profile was created a bit.
