Hi guys,

I am just wondering, did any one of you tried an immersed boundary method simulation with flow induced movement of a rigid body.

For Example:
A circular cylinder in a sloshing tank, jumping due to the forces in the tank.

If so, any advice how to start? I am thinking of linking the already implemented IB Method of foam-extended with an own written "movement"-library.

Quick answer: There is a discussion thread on the topic of dynamic meshing with IBM here: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...3-1-ext-4.html

Hey, did you managed to solve this? I am trying to do the same but with a plate fixed in one end but still don't find any solution (I have reviewed a few threads, including the one above and I am still lost).

Thanks
