Hi guys,
I am just wondering, did any one of you tried an immersed boundary method simulation with flow induced movement of a rigid body. For Example: A circular cylinder in a sloshing tank, jumping due to the forces in the tank. If so, any advice how to start? I am thinking of linking the already implemented IB Method of foam-extended with an own written "movement"-library. |

Quick answer: There is a discussion thread on the topic of dynamic meshing with IBM here: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...3-1-ext-4.html
