Default waves2foam freezing when starting time loop...

Dear Niels,

First of all I would like to say that I really enjoy working with waves2foam and I am eager to learn as I will be using OpenFOAM for my master thesis. So thank you in helping developing this toolbox and manual for unexperienced users as myself...

I am currently working on a special course at DTU and experiencing a problem with the tutorials - not all tutorials however, as standingWave is working fine.

I am using OpenFOAM v1712 and running via the cluster on the gbar.

My problem is that when I try to run for instance the waveFlume or bejiBattjes tutorial I can run the first commands, i.e. blockMesh, waveGaugesNProbes, setWaveParameter, setWaveField all work. However when I get to running the solver waveFoam the terminal freezes at the "starting time loop" and no iterations follow...

I have figured out that the solver will run however if I delete the last function lines in the controlDict file :

functions
{
#includeIfPresent "../waveGaugesNProbes/surfaceElevationAnyName_controlDict;
}

I therefore suspect there might be a problem with the waveGaugesNProbes?

Do you have any suggestions as to what might be the problem I am facing?

Kind Regards
Peter

Hi did you figure out the reason behind this? I am having similar situation right now. However, my solver still freezes after I delete that line. I have run the same case successfully. Thus I don't know what's going on.

Best,
JC
