OpenFOAM 4.1: Unknown function type surfaceElevation
 

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to get surfaceElevation to work since (r2118) but I'm still getting:

FOAM FATAL ERROR:
Unknown function type surfaceElevation

Wondering if I'm still missing something. I downloaded the updated files and using the update files in my case. Everything else is working.

I'm using OpenFOAM4.1, do I need to switch over to OpenFOAM+1712?

Hi Eric,

I have not looked into compilation for OpenFoam-4.1 (4.0 or 5.0) versions. Either you switch to 1712+ or you make the necessary modifications to the compilation scripts (and potentially source code) yourself.
