Relaxation Shapes - orientation
Hi! Everyone!
I am a new beginner of using waves2Foam. I got a confusing understanding of the definition of Relaxation Shapes. For example, when I do a 2D wave model for the relaxationZone as following: relaxationZone { relaxationShape Rectangular; relaxType INLET; startX (90 90 0); endX (100 100 0); orientation (0 1 0); } The wave generation zone starts from point X1=(90 90 0) and ends at (100 100 0). This makes sense for me. However, I can not understand the meaning of orientation (0 1 0). Does it mean the wave propagation is on Y direction? Rather than (1 0 0), the wave propagates along X direction (from left to right), and its inner product with (endX - startX) is still larger than 0. Can anyone help me to fix my confusion on the physical definition of "orientation"? Cheers! zuodong |
