Dissertation on laser-induced cavitation bubbles

I'd like to share my dissertation on single, laser-induced cavitation bubbles.
Simulations with a modified compressibleInterFoam and high-speed photography experiments are brought to an overlay via rendering the simulation with blender.

The existence of an ultra-high-speed liquid jet ("fast-jet" with approx. 20 Gm/s² acceleration) is discussed.
